Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 20, 2025

Look, we're architects, not data miners. Your info matters to us because we're building relationships here, not just structures. This policy lays out how we handle your personal stuff when you reach out or work with us.

When you contact us or start a project, we'll collect the basics - name, email, phone number, that sort of thing. If we're working together on a design, we'll need project-specific details like property info, budget range, and your vision for the space.

Our website might grab some technical stuff automatically - IP address, browser type, pages you visit. Nothing creepy, just standard web analytics to help us improve the site experience.

We don't collect sensitive data unless it's directly relevant to a project you've hired us for.

Pretty straightforward - we use your info to do our job. That means:

  • Responding to your inquiries and consultation requests
  • Managing active projects and keeping you updated
  • Sending project proposals, invoices, and contracts
  • Coordinating with contractors, engineers, and municipal offices when needed
  • Occasionally sharing portfolio updates or firm news (you can opt out anytime)

We're not selling your email to third parties or bombarding you with spam. That's not how we roll.

Your information lives on secure servers in Canada. We use industry-standard encryption and access controls - basically the same stuff banks use. Only team members who actually need access for project work can see your details.

Physical documents? They're locked up in our Vancouver office. We're not leaving client files lying around the coffee table.

No system's perfect, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data. If there's ever a breach, we'll let you know right away and tell you what happened.

We might share your info with:

  • Project collaborators - structural engineers, contractors, consultants who need it to complete your project
  • Municipal authorities - for permits and approvals (can't avoid this one, sorry)
  • Legal or regulatory bodies - if we're legally required to
  • Service providers - like our accounting firm or cloud storage provider, all under confidentiality agreements

We won't share project photos publicly without your explicit permission. Your home's your business until you say otherwise.

Yeah, we use cookies. Not the chocolate chip kind - the digital ones that help the website remember you and function properly.

We use analytics tools to see which pages people visit and how they navigate the site. It helps us figure out if our content's actually useful or if we need to rethink things.

Most browsers let you block cookies if that's your thing, though some site features might not work as smoothly.

Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA and BC's PIPA), you've got rights:

  • Access - ask to see what info we have on you
  • Correction - fix anything that's wrong
  • Deletion - request we delete your data (though we might need to keep some stuff for legal or project documentation reasons)
  • Opt-out - unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime
  • Withdraw consent - change your mind about how we use your info

Just shoot us an email at info@valorforgeeternal.info if you want to exercise any of these rights. We'll get back to you within 30 days.

For active projects, we keep everything until completion plus seven years - that's standard practice in architecture for liability and warranty purposes.

If you reached out but we didn't end up working together, we'll keep your contact info for about two years in case you change your mind. After that, it gets deleted.

Marketing list? You're on there until you unsubscribe or we haven't heard from you in three years.

Our services aren't directed at kids under 16. If we somehow collected info from a minor without parental consent, let us know and we'll delete it immediately.

We'll update this policy occasionally as laws change or our practices evolve. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and notify active clients directly.

For everyone else, check back here now and then if you're curious about changes.

If something in here doesn't make sense or you've got concerns about how we're handling your information, just reach out. We're real people and we'll actually respond.
